Garrett Walker won the election
The 2012 United States presidential election took place on November 6, 2012. The Democratic party ticket of Colorado Governor Garrett Walker and Pennsylvania Governor Jim Matthews were elected president and vice president of the Untied States.
They were inaugurated on January 20, 2013.

The known candidates running for the nomination of the Democratic Party were Garrett Walker and Catherine Durant.
Durant Campaigned hard against Walker, but ultimately Walker won more delegates in the primaries and therefore the nomination.
Garrett Walker chose Jim Matthews, Governor of Pennsylvania, as the vice-presidential candidate sometime before the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
General Election[]
Walker's election win was considered to be a landslide by modern political standards. He won around 70 million votes. Jim Matthews helped the ticket carry the state of Pennsylvania.
