LeAnn Harvey was a Texas-based Democratic political strategist. She became a political operative for then First Lady Claire Underwood during the Democratic Congressional primaries. She continued to work for Claire after she was nominated for Vice President at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Biography[]
LeAnn Harvey was recruited by Claire Underwood while she was visiting her terminally ill mother in Texas. As Congresswoman Doris Jones was weighing on whether to retire from seat, Claire hoped to declare her intentions to run for it with the help of LeAnn.
However, Claire backed out of idea after gaining leverage over her husband's Presidential race and had LeAnn assist in running their campaign instead.
After the resignation of Frank Underwood as President of the United States, she was designated to be the White House Chief of Staff. However, while driving later that night, she was tailed by contractors employed by the Underwoods and subsequently killed.
