Linda Vasquez was former President Garrett Walker's Chief of Staff.
Biography
From a Cuban-American decent, she is known to have graduated a University of California university, according to the degree on her wall and is assumed as a Californian.
Underwood describes her as "tough as a two-dollar steak.”
Vasquez has at least one son, Ruben, who wanted to attend to Stanford University. She feels guilty when Ruben receives a rejection letter from Stanford since she was more focused on Garrett Walker's presidential campaign during the last year and her son's grades went down. Frank Underwood gets Gillian Cole to talk to the admissions office, and Ruben is subsequently accepted. Vasquez tells Frank that Ruben was admitted to Stanford and she knows it was because of him.
